Position: Finance & Office Manager (Full-time)
Location: Whistler, BC

Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Finance & Office Manager to oversee both financial and administrative operations at our Whistler office. The ideal candidate will handle accounting tasks, manage day-to-day office functions, and support the team in ensuring smooth office operations. This is a full-time, in-office position, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and track financial transactions
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budget management
- Handle payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Assist in preparing year-end financial statements and liaising with external accountants
- Office Management:
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure the office runs efficiently
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities
- Coordinate team meetings, schedules, travel, and events
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, office management, or related roles
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in the media or advertising industry is a plus
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience: $55,000 – $65,000 per year
- Health benefits package
- 3 weeks of vacation, plus extra days off on summer long weekends and paid holiday closure at Christmas/New Year’s (at Guru’s discretion)
- Regular team outings, including events like live NHL games, escape rooms, ski days, BBQs, and mountain hikes

Position: Digital Media Buyer (Full-time)

As a Digital Media Buyer at Guru Communications, you will play a critical role on our digital media team. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic digital media campaigns, ensuring that our clients’ goals are met efficiently and effectively. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a passion for digital media, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Media Strategy:
- Support planning team in developing and implementing comprehensive digital media plans that align with client objectives and target audiences.
- Utilize market research and industry insights to inform digital media strategies and recommendations.
- Stay up to date with emerging digital media trends and technologies.
- Campaign Management:
- Execute end-to-end digital media campaigns, ensuring seamless implementation and optimization.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing strategic recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Collaborate with media suppliers to negotiate and secure optimal media placements.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on digital media strategy and performance.
- Present campaign insights, results, and strategic recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner in both written form and verbal communications.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of digital media strategies.
- Contribute to a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
- Budget Management:
- Manage digital media budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation and optimization of resources.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in digital media buying
- Proven track record of successful campaign management and client satisfaction.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in media buying tools and analytics platforms – DV360, Google Ads (Search), Meta, and/or other platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Post-secondary education, ideally in Marketing, Advertising, or Media.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience: $50,000 – $60,000 per year.
- Health benefits package
- 3 weeks of vacation, plus an extra day off on summer long weekends and a paid holiday closure at Christmas/New Year’s (per Guru’s discretion)
- Regular team outings which have included live MLB and NHL games, escape rooms, axe throwing, ski day, BBQs, golf days, mountain top hikes, and ziplining.
